Sarah Akiba is a Paris-born creative visionary who grew up in Miami, Florida. Coming from a family of luxury art and fine jewelry dealers, she has been immersed in a world of style and creativity from an early age. She channels this unique background into her work, earning recognition among the most prestigious creative communities in the world.After graduating from the University of Miami, Sarah pursued her passion as a renowned wardrobe stylist, working with some of the biggest names and creatives in the industry. Her clientele includes household names like Ed Sheeran, David Guetta, J Balvin, Jay Wheeler, and Jhayco, among many others.
As she continues to grow her career, she expands her expertise as a designer, creative director, and entrepreneur, further shaping the industry with her artistic vision.With her entrepreneurial mindset, Sarah recognizes the need for a dedicated space where creatives can collaborate and bring their visions to life. Blending minimalism with eclectic charm, she establishes a full-production house where natural light, intentional design, and artistic expression come together—creating inspiring spaces for creators of all kinds.
Beyond her creative ventures, Sarah is deeply committed to philanthropy. After the loss of her father, she founded the AWOM Foundation, which began as a support group for eight years, providing a space for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Over time, it evolved into a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities through support, advocacy, and meaningful initiatives.Her impact is far-reaching, from AWOM Thanksgiving, which provides meals to hundreds of families, to the AWOM Girls Club, which creates safe spaces in underprivileged schools where young girls can feel empowered and reach their full potential. For Sarah, this work is deeply personal—these girls have become her extended family. She serves as a mentor, guiding their futures, even stepping in to cover rent and provide the resources they need to succeed.
Her compassion extends to children battling illness as well, hosting an annual Halloween party at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital for those unable to celebrate outside. We first began as a female co-working space after our founder recognized a lack of collaboration among women in the creative and entrepreneurial industries. She set out to bridge that gap, creating a space where female creatives could connect and thrive.
As the space evolved, it naturally transformed into a creative hub, with members using it as a photo studio. Leveraging her industry connections, Sarah began hiring these talented creatives for productions, leading to the birth of AWOM Lab—later known simply as The Lab. The name change reflected the organic magic happening within its walls, as both our team and independent creators brought visions to life for brands, artists, music videos, and more.
Now, we are The Spaces. The Lab felt too scientific, and Sarah envisioned something bigger—a brand that could expand into multiple creative hubs, each designed for artists, entrepreneurs, and visionaries to bring their ideas to life. Her signature minimal aesthetic ensures each space serves as a blank canvas, adaptable for anything from events and productions to solo shoots and celebrations.
